
Terry Lee Pardue, 76, of Ball, passed from this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
He was born August 7, 1944 in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Iley Avorn and Verda Ophelia Nash Pardue. The family moved to central Louisiana just three months after his birth and settled in the Ball area.
Terry proudly served our country in the United States Army and during his working life he was the Lead Warehouseman for SafetyKleen Corp. He was strong in his faith and had been a member of Paradise Baptist Church ever since the Pardue family joined the church in the 1950’s.
Terry loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
A service celebrating his life was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Interment, with full military honors, followed in Renfrow Cemetery near Jena under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Avorn Pardue and Iley “Dee” DeWitt Pardue; and sister, Lois Evelyn Pardue Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Gayle Odom Pardue and their children, Kenneth Earl Pardue and Peggy Lynn Pardue Zito; former spouse, Carolyn Ann Thornhill and their children, Tamira Lynnette Pardue Williams and Christopher Michael Pardue, Sr.; grandchildren, Seth Joseph Frugé and Rowena Annemarie Frugé and Christopher Michael Pardue, Jr., Abigail Ann Pardue, Nicholas Ryan Pardue and Natalie Ann Pardue; seven great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Christopher Michael Pardue, Sr., Kenneth Pardue, Mitchell Pardue, Randell Pardue, Bruce Williams and Adam Zito.
