Virginia Lou Ann Wright Chapman, 80, of Trout, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in Alexandria. She was born Sunday, December 24, 1933, in Manifest to the union of her parents, Sherman Roy and Annie
Inita McMillin Wright. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 9, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Joel Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near
Manifest under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Dan Chapman; and two brothers, Marshall Wright and Billy Wright. Survivors include two
sons, Marshall Chapman and wife Barbara, and Robert “Danny” Chapman, all of Trout; a daughter, Susie Smith and husband Wayne of Heath, TX; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Russell Wright and wife Sharon of Manifest; and a sister, Sara Ewing and husband Ily of Manifest. Pallbearers were Jason Wright, Jim Wright, Brad Wright, Charlie Chapman, Ethan Smith, and Terry Le- May.
