Harvey Lee McLendon, 86, of Shreveport, and a native of Jena, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Shreveport.
He was born July 30, 1933 in Jena to the union of Harvey A. and Ruby Lee Gough McLendon.
Upon graduation of high school, Harvey attended the Norton School of Business, and spent his working career in the Gas Industry in administration.
He was an individual that never met a stranger and always had a kind word to share. He will be dearly missed by his family and those who had opportunity to meet him.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 6, in Squires Cemetery near Summerville.
Interment followed under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris E. Mitchell McLendon; one daughter, Jan Borseth and husband Joe; one son, Harvey L. McLendon, Jr.; one brother, Charles McLendon and wife Carolyn, all of Shreveport; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
