Services for Brianna “Ryder” Johns, age 16, were held Friday, June 5, 2020, at Beulah Baptist Church near Georgetown with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating.
Interment followed in the Georgetown Cemetery under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
Brianna loved many and was loved by many more. She had an amazing intoxicating energy that even with one small encounter she would steal a place in your heart. She had a passion for tiktok, music and broccoli that was unreal.
She was always doing the most to make you crack a smile. If you knew her well or even barely at all she always left you thinking. Whether it was about how naturally beautiful, ridiculously hilarious, or just downright inappropriate she was. She was always sure to leave her mark.
Though it hurts to lose such a pure vibrant soul she will continue to be with us all through the abundance of memories she left us with and the laughs she forced us all to endure whether we were in the mood for it or not. We will see her everywhere from when Billie Eilish song comes on in the car, watching the countless tiktoks she left behind, by greens, maybe by those black and white vans she swore by, or maybe simply by a yellow rose.
It’s true that 16 years will never have been enough time with her however, she touched, helped and loved so many more than many will ever get the chance to. So, yes, it is absolutely heart shattering, but we must come together and love, laugh and celebrate her life, because that is what Brianna would’ve wanted.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jason Johns; brother: Gabriel Jones; and great grandfather, Robert Bruce Sr.
She is survived by her loving mothers, Brandi and Boogie; her best friends, Sammy and Paige; her siblings, Chance, Mallory, David, Joseph, Lillie, Courtney, Levi and Lea; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hale, Chance Johns, Evan Burrows, Joseph Jones, Chris Belknap and Casey Mantiply.
Honorary pallbearers were Samuel Jones, David Jones, Troy Almaguer, Ray Loften, Jaxton Mantiply and James Wiley.
