Mable W. Book, 94, of Jonesville, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
She was born June 24, 1925 in Larto, to the union of her parents, Alfred H. Wiley and Stella Charrier Wiley.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 7, at Palo Alto Cemetery, Mayna, with the Revs. Shannon Pennington and Kenn Gordon officiating.
Interment followed under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles B. Book Sr. (Bo); daughter, Charlene B. Wiley; son, Delta M. Book Sr.; daughter-in-law, Marcia Book Butler; grandson, Delta M. Book Jr. (Lil Dale); infant granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Wiley; brothers, Dan Wiley, Homer Wiley, Joe Wiley, Boyd Wiley, Bob Wiley and Archie Wiley; sisters, Cora Mae Wade and Millie Wiley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles B. Book III (Chuck) and Timothy W. Book (Bobbie), all of Jonesville; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren (with 2 on the way); sister, Ruthene Morace; brother, James Wiley; special cousin/sister, Altha Faye Dority; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Morgan Book, Bobby Ray Book, Nelson Book, Darren Wiley, David Wayne Wiley and Christopher Wiley.
Honorary pallbearers were Malcolm Bass, Kay E. Book, Donnie Book, Jimmie Crawford, Joey Crawford, Bryan Wiley and Terry Gann.
