
Nelda Roark Nolan, 74, of Jena, passed from this life on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at her residence. She was born Friday, August 25, 1939 to the union of Eddie and Audie Flowers Roark. Mrs. Nolan had a Masters
Degree in Education and worked as a teacher with the LaSalle Parish School Board before her retirement. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Jena. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Jimmy Keene and Duston McAnn officiating. Interment followed in the Aimoch Cemetery in the Aimoch Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens,
Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Don Russell. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Pete Nolan of Jena; three daughters, Rhonda Robertson and husband Bryan of Jena; Susan Trichel and husband Toby of Monroe, and Karen Russell and fiancé Adam Abshire of Abbeville; a brother, David Roark and wife Tam of Summerville; and six grandchildren, Madison Robertson, Cole Trichel, Landry
Robertson, Kade Trichel, Hunter Robertson, and Karson Trichel. Pallbearers were Steve Andrews, Clifton Jackson, Walter Jackson, Gawan Burgess, Graig Toler, and Gary Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearers were Cole Trichel, Kade Trichel, Hunter Robertson, and Karson Trichel
