
Johnnie Lee Clark, Sr., 76, of Rhinehart, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Alexandria.
He was born September 10, 1943 in Jena to the union of his parents, Johnnie Isaac Clark and Clara Smidt Clark.
Johnnie Lee was a wonderful husband of 57 years and father of six children, who loved spending time with his large family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening, providing most of the family meals with these activities. His work life included 42 years as maintenance supervisor at the LaSalle Parish Courthouse.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church of Rhinehart with the Revs. Ashton Clark and John Spears officiating.
Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; and daughter-in-law, Misty Randall Clark.
Those left to cherish in his memory include his wife, Lois Lee Sharp Clark of Rhinehart; sons, Johnnie Lee Clark, Jr. of Rhinehart, Timothy Lane Clark and wife Jenea of Kelly, Tracy Glenn Clark and wife Lisa of Jena, and Ricky Nathan Clark of Trout; daughters, Vicky Lynn Bignar and husband Mike of Olla, and Diana Clare Courtney and husband Gary of Rhinehart; brother, Cecil Clark of Rhinehart; sisters, Shirley Martin of Jena, Margaret Armstrong and husband Bill of Rhinehart, and Judy Hargrove of Jena; grandchildren, Miranda Wilson (Charlie), Laura Jones (Casey), Lisa Adkins (William), Jared Clark, Andrew Clark, Dustin Clark (Kaitlin), Brittany Rider (John), Colton Clark, Dakota Clark, Ashton Clark, Spencer Clark, Elijah Clark, Rachel Clark, Brenna Courtney, Mallory Courtney, Gabriella Courtney; great grandchildren, Karley Wilson, Aidan Wilson, Matthew Jones, Chase Jones, Logan Adkins, Jake Adkins, Ellie Clark, and Jentry Rider.
Pallbearers were Dustin Clark, Colton Clark, Jared Clark, Andrew Clark, Dakota Clark, Spencer Clark, Ashton Clark, and Elijah Clark.
Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Clark and Randy Sharp.
