Marty Joe Chapman, 63, of Olla, passed from this life on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria. He was born July 17, 1956 in Wisner to the union of his parents, Willie “Chat” Chapman and Agnes Winnona “Nona” Cocker Chapman. Marty loved to work in his yard and loved anything to do with his granddaughters. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, from the Olla chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment followed in the Wilbanks Cemetery near Summerville under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Donna Kay Elliott. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his daughter, Christi Estis (Chad) of Olla; his brothers, W. C. Chapman (Jane) and Mark Chapman; and a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved granddaughters, Carli, Cammie, Callie and Catelyn.
