Johnny Artel Deville

Artel Deville, 83, of Trout, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at the LaSalle Nursing Home of Jena. He was born July 26, 1930 in Pollock to the union of his parents, Edward and Laura Sorrells Deville.
Mr. Deville was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church of Pollock and a member of the Caney Branch Hunting Club. He loved to shoot skeet’s and he was an avid hunter and farmer. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, at Taylor Chapel Cemetery with the Revs. Pete McCarty, Joey Paul, R. B. Couch and Clyde Grammon officiating. Interment followed under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Lottie Maxine Deville; sons, Jerry Deville and Charles Deville; grandchildren, Felicia Reeves, Pamela Reeves, Kenneth Reeves, and Curtis Deville; and great grandchild, Joshua Taylor. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Baggett of Trout, Ann Reeves of Manifest, and Debra Ford of Aimwell; one son, Clyde Deville of Jena; grandchildren, Chad Deville, Chasity Sherrill, Tabatha Mott, Kimberly Curry, Justin Reeves, Joey Deville, Kristy Hayman, Brandy Walker, Jeffery Ford, Melony Cole and Tiffany Ford; 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Pallbeares were Junior  Price, Dick Zeagler, Terry Warwick, Jeffery Ford, Justin Reeves, and Aaron Curry
