Brenda Ann Melvin, 75, of Jena, passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
She was born August 24, 1943 to the union of her parents, Willie Joseph and Odelia Ann Angeron.
She was a loving individual to all who knew her, and always brought a smile into the room. Ms. Brenda loved and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She served as church secretary for many years at Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church in Jena.
Services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
Interment will follow at a later time in a private family ceremony.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steven Brian Melvin of Jena; her daughter, Alysa Dawn Melvin Schrock of Jena; one sister, Billie Marie Bowdoin and husband James of Norfolk, VA.; three grandchildren, Matthew James Nugent, Heather Marie Schrock, and Anna Mae Schrock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Martha Prudhomme, and Donna Boutwell.
