Robert Glenn Buckelew, 81, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Jena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jena. He was born December 26, 1936 in Grant Parish to Robert Lee and Ruby Corbitt Buckelew. Glenn was retired from the oilfield industry. He held various position within the industry during his career. Glenn enjoyed gardening as well as other outdoor activities. He especially treasured the friendships he formed during his daily walks on the town recreation trail. He was an avid hunter and fisherman prior to his retirement. He was a loving husband, Daddy and Pop. Graveside services were held in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, with interment following under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Norma Parker Buckelew of Jena; a daughter, Tricia Kitterlin and husband Robbie of West Monroe; a sister, Lorraine Doughty of Frankston, TX; a brother, Charles Larry Buckelew and wife Dianne of Alvin, TX; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
