Beverly Carolyn Durham, 80, of Jena, passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2013, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was born May 24, 1933 in Beggs, Oklahoma to the union of her parents, Leslie and Vada Swinley Hunt. Mrs. Durham was a homemaker and member of East Jena Baptist Church for 43 years. She was a graduate of McCamey High School in Texas and was a loving mother and grandmother. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at East Jena Baptist Church with the Revs. Ronnie Tarver, Craig James and Steve Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery near Jena under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Durham of Jena; three sons, Gerald Durham of Pine Bluff, AR, Robert Durham of Jena, and Brian Durham of Clinton, AR; one sister, Shirley Irwin of White Pine, TN; one brother, Howard Hunt of Odessa, TX; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jake Hooter, Dan Enterkin, Craig Toler, Graig Toler, Greg Mitchell, and grandsons, Robbie Durham, and Jeffery Durham.
