
Bertha Louise Jones, 65, of Monterey, passed from this life on Friday, February 23, 2018, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. She was born Tuesday, April 1, 1952 in Brouillette to the union of her parents, Elwood and Eura Bordelon Green. Services were held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 25, at New Harvest Assembly of God Church with Pastor David Womack officiating. Interment followed in Acme Baptist Church Cemetery under direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Ray Jones; parents; and three brothers, Alton Green, Calvin Green, and Joe Green. Survivors include, her son, Kelvin Jones of Alexandria; daughter, Cynthia Jones Jenkins and husband Kevin of Natchez, MS; daughter, Belinda Conley and husband David, Jr. of Jena; daughter, Kerry McCarver and husband Wesley of Vidalia; son, Jeremy Jones of Monterey; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Christian, and Hannah Jenkins, Gabriel and Madison Conley, Savannah and Katlyn McCarver, Delaney, Seth, and Jonah Jones; two brothers, James Green and Johnny Green; two sisters, Nellie Womack and Pat Thrasher; special friends, Bernice Bryan and Geneva Johnston; her church family at New Harvest Assembly of God, and also by a host of family and friends. Pallbearers were Daniel Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, Tucker Lewis, Wesley McCarver, David Conley, Jr., Kevin Jenkins, and Ryan Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Seth Jones, Gabriel Conley, and Jonah Jones.
