Julia Faye Green, 78, of Georgetown, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was born Monday, January 29, 1940 in Winnfield, to the union of her parents, Julian “Mack” McCartney and Mary Inez Strange McCartney. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, at Beulah Baptist Church near Georgetown with the Revs. Lamar Carpenter and Joe Bruce officiating. Interment followed in the Beulah Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnis A. Green; and brother-in-law, Thomas L. Roberts. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Mary Roberts; sister-in-law, Gloria Barrett (Joe); nephew, Jack Barrett; and niece, Susie Lucky. Pallbearers were Mike Roberts, Richie King, Jack Barrett, Joel Bruce, Johnny Hodges, and Richard Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Barrett, Colby Barrett, and W. C. Hollaway
