Georgia Ruth Walden, 70, of Winnfield, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at her residence.
She was an accountant and worked for several years at Hennigan Law Offices in Jena and later at the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed arts and crafts.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, at Beulah Baptist Church near Georgetown with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating.
Mrs. Walden was the daughter of the late Tommy Eugene Walden and the late Willie Beatrice Martin. She was also preceded in death by brothers, John David Walden and Bobby Eugene Walden, as well as her sister, Sadie Walden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ricky Pearson and wife Reita of Trout; daughters, Angela Ireland and husband Don of Winnfield, Pam Evans and husband Brian of Collierville, TN, and Martha Andrews and husband Louis of Summerville; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; one brother, Lamar Walden and wife Libby of Michigan; and two sisters, Elaine Johnson and Fay Alderman, both of Arkansas.
