
Flora Mae White, 83, passed from this life on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the LaSalle Nursing Home of Jena.
She was born December 31, 1933 to the union of her parents, Allen and Leona Book.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, at Mayna Church of God of Jonesville with the Revs. Lloyd Trisler and Bryan Taylor officiating.
Interment followed in Whites Cemetery of Jonesville under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl White, Sr.; sisters, Audrey Mooreland, Rosalie Miller, Edith Book and Lois White; brothers, Jerry Book, Sr. and Arnold “Brother” Book; and a special sister-in-law, Janie Book.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Earl White and wife Donna of Alvin, TX, Pat Holloway of Jonesville, and Lisa Welch of Manuel, TX; grandchildren, Luke Bird (Julie), Rachel Nichols (Drew), Rebecca Womack (Jake), Sarah Bird, Jake McDonald (Krissy), Justin White, Crystal Sulak (Greg), Bret Orrender and Lauren Welch; sisters, Myrna Loy Taylor and husband Bryan, and Irma Rae Thompson; brother, Ronnie Book and wife Sheila; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Luke Bird, Jake McDonald, Drew Nichols, Justin White, Caleb Jenkins and Jacob Sulak.
