Norma Jean Tolbert Bradford, 73, of Jena, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Jena Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jena.
She was born July 6, 1943 in Catahoula Parish to her parents, Roy Tolbert and Lucille Scarborough Tolbert.
Jean was a lifetime member of Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church. Jean was a woman who was strong in her faith and an overcomer of many obstacles throughout her life.
For years she worked at Davis and Brook’s Pharmacy in Jonesville, and later in life was a waitress at Robin’s Restaurant in Vidalia. She was a loving mother who enjoyed singing, doll collecting, and was a wonderful seamstress. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
Services were held Monday, July 3, at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Joel Ford and Danny Chance officiating.
Interment followed at Heard Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
She was preceded in death by her Mother; husband, Clifford C. Bradford; and two brothers, Glenford Tolbert and Lavel Tolbert.
Survivors include her Father, Roy Tolbert of Jena; three children, Gay Smith of Jonesville, Dawn Brown and husband Clifton of Bowling Green, KY, and Tony Mason and wife Ashley of Lake Charles; two brothers, Melvin Tolbert, and J.C. Tolbert and wife Rosie, all of Jonesville; three sisters, Gloria Tucker and husband Gary of Aimwell, Debra Tolbert of Monroe, and Brenda Crager and husband Jim of Logansport; and six grandsons, Bud, Dayton, Tyler, Logan, Zach, and Conner.
Pallbearers were Tony Mason, Dayton Wiley, Bud Ivey, Tyler Ivey, Marion Tolbert and Clifton Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were her two brothers, Melvin Tolbert and J.C. Tolbert.
