Johnny Lincecum

John “Johnny” Issac Lincecum, 75, of Jena, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Alexandria.

He was born Friday, August 8, 1941 in Georgetown, the son of the late Dan Peach and Noda Bell Nugent Lincecum.

Among the many things that he dearly loved was his family, his church, and working outside in his garden and yard.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, at First Baptist Church of Jena with Rev. Terry Townsend officiating.

Interment followed in the Lincecum Baptist Church Cemetery of Georgetown under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Faye Quaid and Madge Olden; two brothers, Dan P. Lincecum, Jr. and Allen Lincecum.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Connie Adams Lincecum of Jena; two sons, Stacy Lincecum and wife Tina of Georgetown, and Jeffery Shelton and wife Maria of Jena; three daughters, Tammy Lincecum of Georgetown, Karen Armstrong and husband Hunter of Georgetown and Sophie Belgard and husband Avery of Jena; nine grandchildren, Lacey, Gatlin, Savannah, Tristin, Taylor, Kylie, Whit, Presley, and Sydney; five great-grandchildren, Makindlee, Analise, Laney, Hunter, and baby Brantley on the way; and one sister, Coleta Banes and husband Harold of Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers were Donny Olden, Mark Olden, Danny Olden, Jake Long, Bob Killingsworth, and Bobby Wilson.
