Karon Irene Poole Wells, 67, of Jena, passed from this life on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Jena.
She was born Sunday, December 25, 1949 in Jena, to the union of Ernest Lavere and Kate Lena Roark Poole.
Services were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 17, at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Jena with with Rev. David Poole officiating.
Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery, east of Grayson, under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavelle Wells; her parents; her brothers, Alford Poole, Enoch Poole and Bennie Poole; and sisters, Nelda Mitcham and Ineta Brodnax.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Lemay; two grandsons, Landon Lemay and Brandon Lemay; a great-granddaughter, Harley Lemay; three brothers, Billy R. Poole, Clifford Poole and Charles “Buddy” Poole; and three sisters, Beth Coleman, Jakki Richardson and Rebecca Beckley.
Pallbearers were Ernest Coleman, Jared Richardson, Kevin Poole, Bradley Poole, Travis Hudson, and Billy Coleman.
