Hilda Barber, 75, of Trout, passed from this life on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1942 in Pineville.
Mrs. Barber was a retired Certified Nurses’ Aide.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 29, at Zenoria Baptist Church in the Zenoria Community with the Revs. Joel Johnson and Mark Breland officiating.
Interment followed in the Chalk Hill Cemetery in the Little Creek Community under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Willie Barber; infant daughter, Tammy Teresa Barber; son, Eddy Joseph Barber; mother, Idell Chudon Ponds; step father, Otis Ponds; and father, Lem Breland.
Those left to cherish in her memory include her sons, Michael Barber and wife Cindy of Trout, and Curtis Barber and wife Christina of Pollock; sister, Bea Breland of Pollock; half sister, Susan Breland and son Justin of San Antonio, TX; five grandkids, and six great grandkids with two on the way.
Pallbearers were Cody Barber, Kirk Poole, Curtis A. Barber, Joe Barber, Kyle Poole, and Chance Grice.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Breland, Kerry Breland and Steve Breland.
