Julian Craig Walker, 48, of Belah, passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2017, at his residence in Belah, following a six-year courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Friday, February 7, 1969 in Alexandria, to the union of Julian and Ginger Walker.
Craig was employed in the oilfield industry, working for BP as a production operator. He was a 1987 graduate of Jena High School and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Craig was an avid outdoorsman and loved to duck hunt. His family was very important to him, and his children was the love of his life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, in the sanctuary of Fellowship Baptist Church in Belah with the Revs. Mike Devellier and Bill Robertson officiating.
Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery in the Belah-Fellowship Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Grady Walker; and grandparents, Grady and Irene Walker and Gordon”Bugs” and Cornelia Francis.
Survivors include his wife Mary Anne Valentine Walker of Belah; one son, Jude Craig Walker of Belah; two daughters, Molly Anne Walker of Belah and Melani Diane Walker of Kelly; his mother, Ginger Walker of Jena; three brothers, Clint Walker of Jena, Bo Valentine and Danny Price, both of Belah; four sisters, Mitzi Walker of Jena, Pam Price of Belah, Kandy Poole of New York, NY and Tonya Valentine of Shreveport; and his mother and father-in-law, Darryl and Annie Valentine of Belah.
Pallbearers were Clint Walker, Bo Valentine, Stanley Malcomb, Wes Carr, Jay Sanders, Todd Ingram, Donnie Valentine, Shannon Valentine, and Jay Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Price, Britt Davidson, Brad Davidson, Mickey Cockerham, Jack Zeagler, Terry Knapp, Joe Mark Tarpley, Jamie Parker, and Richard Belcher.
